About the Event
There is a lot of talk about the benefits of a gender diverse workforce. Increasingly, CEO’s are including gender diversity in their top priorities. However its completely understandable if you’re thinking “blah, blah, blah” right now. Because there is a LOT of talk and very little high impact action when it comes to advancing women into the C-Suite. Or is there?
A little about Michelle Redfern
Michelle is the founder of Advancing Women, an enterprise providing advisory services on equality, inclusion and gender diversity. She is also the founder of social enterprise and professional women’s network, Women Who Get It and co-founder of social enterprise CDW (Culturally Diverse Workforce’s). Michelle is determined to contribute to achieving global gender equality in her life time, with emphasis on women working in the sporting sector.
Michelle is also a Non-executive director for Williamstown Football Club and Good Shepherd Microfinance. She previously held executive leadership roles ASX & FTSE listed companies NAB, Telstra and Serco. Michelle is a proud recipient of the AFR & Qantas 100 Women of Influence Award (2018) for her work on diversity and inclusion in the Australian business and Sporting sectors. Michelle’s qualifications and credentials include:
- Graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course
- Executive MBA (Distinction) from RMIT
- IECL qualified organisational coach
- Accredited Leading Women Facilitator:
- Women’s leadership development;
- Gender dynamics and hidden gender bias.
Michelle is also a lover of cats, writing, footy and travel. She is a regular contributor on social media about equality, inclusion, leadership and her quest to find the perfect glass of rosé!
